Description
Job Description: Responsible for providing short term, intensive psychotherapy to children and families at the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. Other duties include, completing emergency assessments, developing discharge plans, consulting with agency and outside providers, as well as, providing general oversight and consultation to CCSU staff. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the lead therapist will be responsible for the oversight and administration of the clinical programing provided by other staff. The lead therapist will also supervise other clinical staff. The lead therapist will assist in making program decisions in the absence of the program manager.
Position requires: a Masters Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or professional counseling. Individual must be certified or licensed by their prospective state board as well. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with children with severe emotional disturbances is preferred. Supervisory experience is also preferred.
