Title: PREVENTION SPECIALIST

Hours Status: FULL-TIME

Brief Job Description: Responsible for providing consultation and technical assistance to communities in the Barren River Region; To engage in activities that support the Strategic Prevention Framework as outlined by the CSAP (Center for Substance Abuse Prevention) which includes Community Assessment, Capacity Building, Strategic Planning, Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation.                              

Position requires Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and/or Health Related Degrees but a Master’s Degree is preferred. Candidate needs to have experience in community mobilization, public speaking, advocacy, marketing, training, substance abuse prevention. Skill Set skills required include report writing, fiscal management, verbal and written communications, problem solving, computer (word, excel, email, internet, organizational). The successful candidate must obtain within 36 months of employment with the Regional Prevention Center, the Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) certification.
