Title: Co-Response Therapist II
Worksite: Warren County Sherriff’s Office
County: Warren
Hours Status: Full-Time
Pay Range: $60,000 per year

Brief Job Description:
Provide crisis co-response with the Warren County Sherriff’s Office. Will provide crisis counseling and determine next steps for treatment. Work with the Sherriff’s Office to determine what calls to respond to and determine appropriate referrals or assist with admission to inpatient treatment. Provide follow up services to individuals that the Sherriff’s Office and therapist come in contact with.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Co-Response Therapist II Responsibilities:

· Provide direct crisis intervention services in the community with the sherriff’s office.
· Complete evaluations for involuntary hospital admission.
· Complete screening process as needed.
· Make referrals for additional services as appropriate.
· Provide education and outreach to the community regarding CIT initiatives and services available.
· Perform both as a clinical team member, sustained good working relationships with other professionals.
· Participate in Warren County Sherriff’s Office staffing/meetings as needed.
· Complete all correspondence in a timely fashion.
· Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
· Maintain agency expectation for productivity.
· Document all services provided in accordance with agency standards.
· Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
· Maintain an expert knowledge base regarding current practices and research.
· Will maintain appropriate clinical boundaries with sherriff’s department personnel observing all relevant HIPPA and professional Board standards for confidentiality, privilege, and obtaining proper releases of information.
· Perform other related work duties as required and assigned.
· Comply with required clinical supervisory requirements assigned by agency.

Additional Functions:

· May be called upon to provide training and/or consultation for police officers.
· May sit on committees and/or work groups within the police department as needed and as time allows.
· Individual will complete all training requirements of the police department for their assigned position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s Degree in human services; psychology, social work, marriage and family, or counseling with full Kentucky licensure required.
· Must meet requirements of Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined by KRS 202A.
· Previous experience in crisis service preferred.
