Brief Job Description:

The Adult Crisis Unit Assistant Manager position is a unique opportunity to for an individual seeking to provide leadership to a team of dedicated staff who recognize the importance of serving individuals in crisis.  LifeSkills Adult Crisis Unit provides crisis response and prevention for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or intellectual/developmental disabilities related needs.  Our team is committed to providing 24/7 crisis care to adults in a safe, professional and compassionate manner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance and training to Residential Associate Staff to ensure quality services are provided to adults in crisis
  • Be central in developing and maintaining strong teams and a positive work environment
  • Assist the Program manager in recruiting and retaining qualified individuals for positions at Adult Crisis Unit
  • Provide screenings, assessments and therapy services to adults who are experiencing a crisis

Work Hours

  • Schedule primarily weekdays with some regular weekend work

Education and Experience:

  • Position requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family, or counseling with applicable certification or licensure
  • Strong preference for the candidate to be fully licensed by a KY Board
  • Strong preference for the candidate to have previous experience with crisis services as well as managerial experience
  • Good verbal and communication skills are necessary along with the ability to work calmly under stressful conditions
