Title: Mental Health Technician
Worksite: CCSU - Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit
County: Warren
Hours Status: Full-Time, 1st shift, Tues-Sat
Pay Range: $14.25, eligible for shift differential
Brief Job Description:
The Mental Health Technician is the direct care staff of the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is a 24-hour program. Responsible for ensuring the safety of the clients and maintaining the therapeutic milieu.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise residents ensuring that they are safe and secure at all times
- Implement milieu management systems
- Document resident daily activities
- Take phone referrals, conduct admission screens and complete admission materials
- Conduct group discussions and recreational activities
- Assist residents in utilizing acceptable coping skills
- Prepare meals for residents
- Contribute to general cleanliness of the facility
- Supervise medication administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent;
- valid Kentucky driver’s license and proof of insurance;
- acceptable background check (yearly)
