Title: Authorization Coordinator

Worksite: Park Place Recovery Center

County: Allen

Hours Status: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Range: $15.87 hourly

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Authorizations Coordinator positions involves working with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and other payers to secure authorizations for the residential facility. This will require reading health records and communicating relevant information to MCO's, making the case for services. Essentially acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to streamline the authorization process.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in human services field and obtain CADC within a reasonable time period from the start of employment.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and communicate information from a health record to relevant payer in order to secure payment for services.
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to LifeSkills Code of Ethics and all other agency policies.
  • Proactively encourage and foster positive working relationships between LifeSkills and other agencies including community partners, referral sources, business partners and associates, etc.
  • Ensure all client information within department is completed in a timely manner and kept in safe and secure manner consistent with the law and HIPPA standards.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or as the needs of the department and LifeSkills dictate.

 

SKILLS:

  • Must be highly organized, have proficiency in communication technologies (email, cell phone) and personal communication skills.
