Pay Range: $21.63 Hourly **** $5,000 sign-on bonus ****

POSITION SUMMARY:

338903. position would complete nursing screenings, assist with medication education for clients and staff, provide nursing care to residential clients as needed, work with medical providers as needed, assist with admissions, work with MCO's to obtain authorization for residential days as appropriate, and work as part of an inter-disciplinary treatment team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complete nursing screenings for all new clients.

• Administer urinalysis (random, observed and non-observed) for clients in the program as needed.

• Communicate with the physicians and implement doctor’s orders.
• Administer injections to clients as prescribed.
• Complete medication counts for clients as necessary.
• Complete documentation within LifeSkills timeframes.
• Obtain and monitor KASPER reporting for clients as needed
• Provide customer and personal service to our clients, families, and any visitors, which supports the LifeSkills Core Values.
• Monitor client’s progress.
• Provide training to staff on medication and other relevant topics.
• Provide education to clients on medication and other topics related to health and well being.
• Utilize client centered approaches including Motivational Interviewing when interacting with clients.
• Complete continuing education requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a licensed practical nurse in Kentucky. Experience with clients who experience behavioral health issues is preferred. Maintain a valid KY Driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.
