Title: Mental Health Technician 
Worksite: CCSU - Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit
County: Warren
Hours Status: Part-Time
Pay Range: $14.25 Eligible for shift differential

Brief Job Description:
The mental health technician is the direct care staff of the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is a 24 hour program. Mental Health Technicians are responsible for ensuring the safety of the clients and maintaining the therapeutic milieu.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervise residents ensuring that they are safe and secure at all times
• Implement milieu management systems
• Document resident daily activities
• Take phone referrals, conduct admission screens and complete admission materials
• Conduct group discussions/activities and recreational activities
• Assist residents in utilizing acceptable coping skills
• Prepare meals for residents
• Contribute to general cleanliness of the facility
• Supervise medication administration

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent;
• Kentucky driver’s license and proof of insurance;
• Acceptable background check (yearly)
